Job Description:

Location: Banbury / Travelling

For the past 10 years, Live Wire has worked across Formula 1, supplying technology to the major teams and F1 Management. Our work varies from constructing viewer experiences in teams' hospitality suites, paddock, garages and factories elevating each of the 24 races a year. We work closely with our suppliers to deliver pioneering technology and integrate innovation into all of the work we do.

Live Wire provides AV technology for all genres of events including Festivals, Concerts, Conferences, Theatre and Dance. We work with large concert halls in London such as Southbank Centre, Barbican, Sadlers Wells to provide technicians, support and equipment.

Live Wire is looking for AV technicians to join our travelling team, working closely with clients such as Mercedes, Red Bull, Aston Martin, McLaren, F1 Management and F1 Academy. Using cutting edge equipment, our technicians are required to have a wide overview of multiple events, from driver interviews to hospitality entertainment and live race commentary, including pit links. Technicians need to work under pressure to deliver above clients expectations, always looking to make improvements to the equipment, event and team.

Responsibilities include the meticulous care and management of equipment, proactive involvement in packing procedures to ensure safe shipping, ongoing maintenance throughout the season, and prompt action on any damages or repairs.

Technicians are responsible for writing comprehensive race reports, offering detailed insights into the build, scheduling, equipment usage, and sustainability tracing following each event. It’s important to deliver these reports in a timely manner and distribute them to the relevant parties.

We’re looking for AV technicians to encourage our junior team members to feel confident in the event build and operation, exemplifying superior work standards. This includes working closely with the wider operations, production, project and finance team so that each race is delivered seamlessly and improvements are made ahead of the next weekend.

We are looking for AV Technicians who can commit to a full time role.

Responsibilities:

●Operate high profile shows, working alongside world class drivers and musicians.

●Producing comprehensive production schedules and kit lists for clients and crew.

●Writing debriefs for management and clients following each race, making clear action points and ideas for improvements.

●Take responsibility for maintaining equipment, reporting and actioning damages.

●Ability to self manage and motivate while working independently.

●Cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with our clients.

●Excellent communication skills, working effectively with the wider team on track and back in the UK.

Requirements:

●5 years experience working within events of varying demand.

●Specialist in lighting, sound or AV but having the confidence to understand and manage all aspects of a project.
