Location: Banbury / Travelling

For the past 10 years, Live Wire has worked across Formula 1, supplying technology to major teams and F1 Management. Our work includes constructing viewer experiences in hospitality suites, paddock, garages, and factories, elevating each of the 24 races a year. We collaborate with suppliers to deliver pioneering technology and innovation.

Live Wire provides AV technology for various events including Festivals, Concerts, Conferences, Theatre, and Dance, working with venues like Southbank Centre, Barbican, and Sadlers Wells.

We are seeking AV technicians to join our travelling team, working with clients such as Mercedes, Red Bull, Aston Martin, McLaren, F1 Management, and F1 Academy. Technicians will handle multiple event aspects, from driver interviews to hospitality entertainment and live race commentary, including pit links. The role requires working under pressure to meet client expectations, with a focus on equipment and event improvements.

Responsibilities include managing equipment meticulously, packing for safe shipping, maintaining equipment throughout the season, and addressing damages or repairs promptly.

Technicians must write detailed race reports, providing insights into build, scheduling, equipment use, and sustainability, and deliver these reports timely to relevant parties.

We value technicians who can mentor junior team members, uphold high work standards, and collaborate with operations, production, project, and finance teams for seamless race delivery and continuous improvement.

This is a full-time role.

Responsibilities:

• Operate high-profile shows alongside world-class drivers and musicians.
• Create production schedules and kit lists for clients and crew.
• Write debriefs post-race with action points and improvement ideas.
• Maintain equipment, report and repair damages.
• Manage and motivate oneself independently.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships.
• Communicate effectively with the team on track and in the UK.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in event production.
• Specialization in lighting, sound, or AV, with confidence across all project aspects.
