Job summary

UNICAT Technologies is seeking an experienced Process Technician to operate, monitor and optimise manufacturing processes, ensuring targets and quality standards are met. You will troubleshoot equipment, support maintenance and contribute to continuous improvement across the production facility.

The role demands strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team while adhering to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production equipment and automated processes.
  • Identify and resolve process or equipment issues to minimise downtime.
  • Carry out routine quality checks and ensure products meet specification.
  • Record production data and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Support planned preventative maintenance activities.
  • Work in line with health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects.
  • Support and mentor colleagues where required.

Plus: £2,000 annual shift allowance & 50p per hour attendance bonus

Rotating Shifts:

  • Week 1: Monday - Thursday | 06:00 - 18:00

The Role

As a Process Technician, you’ll be responsible for operating, monitoring and optimising manufacturing processes, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved. You’ll troubleshoot equipment issues, support maintenance activities and contribute to continuous improvement across the production facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production equipment and automated processes.
  • Identify and resolve process or equipment issues to minimise downtime.
  • Carry out routine quality checks and ensure products meet specification.
  • Record production data and maintain accurate documentation.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A commitment to working safely and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
