Job summary

Core Laboratories Inc. in Aberdeen, United Kingdom, is seeking a Formation Damage Laboratory Analyst to conduct routine and advanced laboratory testing on geological materials and fluids, supporting formation damage studies and client projects.

You will operate and maintain lab equipment, record and report data, assist in testing program design, and collaborate with technical teams to drive quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant laboratory experience, including exposure to analytical testing and data processing.
• Educated to a minimum HNC or equivalent in a science subject, or relevant experience.
• Degree in physical science related subject (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on geological, fluid and gas samples per procedures and client requirements.
• Conduct formation damage studies including permeability measurements and compatibility assessments with brines, oils, gases and chemicals.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment per procedures and standards.
• Record, analyse, review and report test data per quality standards and client specs.
• Complete worksheets, records and reports accurately and on time.
• Assist in designing/testing programmes and workflows with technical specialists and business development.
• Support development of new products and services through testing and improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient lab operations and consistent data.
• Assist in training colleagues and share technical knowledge.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment.
• Comply with QA/QC, HSE, and ISO quality requirements.
• Identify and report unsafe or non-compliant practices.
• Report non-conformances and participate in corrective actions.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
• Support client engagement by presenting capabilities and results.
• Travel domestically and internationally including offshore assignments.
• Undertake additional duties as required.
