We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Form Tutor & PE Teacher to join our team and help nurture and inspire the next generation.

Role Overview:

As a Form Tutor & PE Teacher, your responsibilities will include leading a tutor group, ensuring their welfare and academic progress, while delivering high-quality Physical Education lessons that inspire students to participate throughout the rest of the day.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Form Tutor Duties:
    • Act as the first point of contact for your tutor group, providing pastoral care, guidance, and support.
    • Monitor the academic progress and well-being of students, ensuring they are supported to achieve their potential.
    • Lead form time activities, including academic mentoring, personal development, and career guidance.
    • Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student progress and concerns.
    • Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and other activities that promote a positive school community.
  2. PE Teaching Duties:
    • Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic PE lessons that cater to all student abilities.
    • Foster a love for sport and physical activity, encouraging participation in extracurricular activities.
    • Assess and track student progress in PE, providing constructive feedback to support development.
    • Promote teamwork, leadership, and fair play through sport and physical education.
    • Manage classroom behavior effectively and create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching PE at appropriate Key Stage, e.g., Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A strong passion for physical education and the personal development of students.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Right to work in the UK.
