Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Workshop forklift engineer in the UK. The role offers a basic salary range and overtime opportunities within a well-established forklift and material handling company.

You will perform servicing, maintenance and repairs on a broad range of forklift trucks, identify issues and carry out safety inspections while managing your workflow and submitting detailed service reports.

Qualifications

• Experience as a forklift engineer or material handling mechanic.
• Proven experience with diesel engines.
• Strong experience with electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics.
• Holder of a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and repair of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues.
• Carry out LOLER inspections to ensure compliance.
• Perform safety checks and pre-delivery inspections.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance.
• Plan and manage workload and service schedule.
• Complete service reports and job sheets.
• Coordinate with parts departments to source and install correct components.
