Job summary

SRG Recruitment are seeking a highly motivated Forklift & Warehouse Operative to join a busy Southampton warehouse and logistics operation.

Duties include picking and packing customer orders, loading and unloading deliveries, stock handling and pallet preparation, and operating a Forklift/Reach Truck. Opportunities for overtime are available, with a typical shift from 7:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift licence required.
• Reach Truck licence is highly desirable.
• Good level of physical fitness.
• Reliable and hardworking attitude.
• Good attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to overtime when required.
• 3.5T van driving experience/licence would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• General warehouse and logistics duties.
• Picking and packing customer orders.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Moving and handling stock.
• Packing stock away and maintaining an organised warehouse.
• Wrapping and preparing pallets.
• Operating a Forklift / Reach Truck.
• Stock control and general inventory duties.
• Preparing goods for dispatch and delivery.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and safe.
• Following Health & Safety procedures.
• Eventually operating various warehouse machines/equipment.
• Potential 3.5T van deliveries as required.

SRG Recruitment are looking for a highly motivated, physically fit and reliable Forklift & Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation in the Southampton area.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday

• 7:30am - 5:00pm

• £14.24 per hour (holiday pay included in hourly rate)

• Overtime available when required
