Job summary

SRG Recruitment seeks a motivated Forklift & Warehouse Operative to join a busy Havant warehouse. You will handle general warehouse duties, stock movements, packing and dispatch preparation.

A forklift licence (reach truck desirable) and good physical fitness are required, with flexibility for overtime in a fast-paced environment. Role involves working Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm, at £14.24 per hour including holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence held with reach truck considered essential.
• Experience in warehouse operations, picking/packing and stock handling.
• Ability to work in a busy logistics environment and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• General warehouse and logistics duties.
• Picking and packing customer orders.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Moving and handling stock.
• Packing stock away and maintaining an organised warehouse.
• Wrapping and preparing pallets.
• Operating a Forklift / Reach Truck.
• Stock control and general inventory duties.
• Preparing goods for dispatch and delivery.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and safe.
• Following Health & Safety procedures.
• Operating various warehouse machinery as required.
• Possibility of 3.5T van deliveries as needed.

FORKLIFT & WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE - HAVANT

SRG Recruitment are looking for a highly motivated, physically fit and reliable Forklift & Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation in the Havant area.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday


• 7:30am - 5:00pm


• £14.24 per hour (holiday pay included in hourly rate)


• Overtime available when required

Duties & Responsibilities

• General warehouse and logistics duties


• Picking and packing customer orders


• Loading and unloading deliveries


• Moving and handling stock


• Packing stock away and maintaining an organised warehouse


• Wrapping and preparing pallets


• Operating a Forklift / Reach Truck


• Stock control and general inventory duties


• Preparing goods for dispatch and delivery


• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and safe


• Following Health & Safety procedures


• Eventually operating various warehouse machinery and equipment


• Potential 3.5T van deliveries as required


• Working as part of a busy warehouse and distribution team

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred


• Forklift licence required


• Reach Truck licence is highly desirable


• Good level of physical fitness


• Reliable and hardworking attitude


• Good attention to detail


• Able to work independently and as part of a team


• Flexible approach to overtime when required


• 3.5T van driving experience/license would be advantageous

Overtime is required when necessary, although this will not be every day and will only be when business needs require it.
