Job summary

Branston Potatoes is seeking a Training Officer based at Ilminster, Somerset, to deliver high-quality forklift and related training across the site. The role requires a minimum of 5 years in forklift operations, plus an MHE instructor qualification and current forklift & PPT credentials, along with an engaging delivery style.

You will develop training materials, maintain learner records, monitor KPIs and support H&S training across the site, with a focus on reducing forklift damage and ensuring

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience of forklift operations.
• Relevant MHE instructor training qualification.
• Current forklift & PPT qualification; engaging, proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and compliant training sessions (Counterbalance FLT, Reach Truck, PPT).
• Develop, update and maintain training materials to industry standards and legal requirements.
• Keep accurate learner records, attendance and performance reports.
• Monitor and report on training KPIs; contribute to site internal audits.
• Support H&S policies and refresher training for all employees.
