Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd are seeking a Forklift Engineer to join a client-based team in Cheltenham. You will service and repair forklift trucks and related lifting equipment, perform routine maintenance, and liaise with customers to understand their requirements.

A solid mechanical engineering background and full UK driving licence are essential. The role emphasizes safety and quality, with opportunities to work autonomously or as part of a team, and to represent the company as a brand

Qualifications

• A solid mechanical engineering background is essential.
• Customer focused attitude across interactions with clients.
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently as required.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with forklift trucks, military, agricultural or plant equipment is highly desirable.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repair of forklift trucks and other lifting equipment.
• Carrying out routine maintenance.
• Checking oil and fuel levels.
• Checking all related hoses and connections.
• Steering and brake checks.
• Basic electrical checks – brake lights etc.
• Liaising with customers regarding their individual requirements.
• Submit accurate parts requisition information to Head Office.
• Acting as the face of the company and brand ambassador.
