Job summary

First Military Recruitment are hiring a Forklift Engineer in Oxford. You will service and repair forklift trucks and other lifting equipment, perform routine maintenance, and support customers with their requirements. This role welcomes ex-military applicants but all candidates are considered.

The successful candidate will work to high standards of quality and professionalism, liaising with customers and driving parts requisitions to Head Office. Overtime and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical engineering background essential.
• Customer-focused mindset with clear communication.
• Experience with forklift trucks or lifting equipment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repair of forklift trucks and other lifting equipment.
• Carrying out routine maintenance.
• Checking oil and fuel levels.
• Checking hoses and connections.
• Steering and brake checks.
• Basic electrical checks – brake lights etc.
• Liaising with customers regarding their requirements.
• Submit accurate parts requisition information to Head Office.
• Acting as the face of the company and brand ambassador.
