Job summary

Linde Material Handling is seeking Field Service Engineers to diagnose faults, perform maintenance and service forklift trucks across customer sites in the UK.

You will work on a wide range of products from small pallet trucks to automated systems, with strong emphasis on safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers.
• Experience with forklift, plant equipment, or agricultural machinery desirable.
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent is beneficial but not essential.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify faults on Linde forklifts and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and servicing at customer sites.
• Work with the full product range from pallet trucks to automated systems.
• Record work and order parts using IT systems as required.

We are interested in candidates with experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers, particularly those who have worked as forklift technicians, plant fitters, plant technicians, or vehicle technicians. Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles, or industrial cleaners is highly desirable.

In the role of a Field Service, you will engage in a variety of tasks, working with our full range of products, from small pallet trucks to Counterbalance trucks, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks, and automated trucks. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and rectifying faults, performing preventative maintenance, and servicing Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at our customer sites.

Do you have experience in one for the following disciplines, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Hydraulics?

Ideally you will have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, although this is not essential

We use the latest technology to keep accurate records and place orders, therefore being comfortable using IT equipment is essential

You will need to hold a full UK driving licence

As a Linde engineer you will need to be comfortable working autonomously and within a team
