Job summary

The Fox in Peterborough urgently needs Warehouse Operatives and Forklift Drivers for a local site. Shifts are 06:00–14:00 or 14:00–22:00, Monday to Friday, with rotating options.

Pay is £13.38 per hour plus £47 per week freezer supplement for a 37.5 hour week, with flexibility for shift changes and busy periods. You will collate and despatch orders, check goods against delivery notes, record stock movements, and perform stock checks.

Qualifications

  • Operational warehouse experience.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal and written.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • A 'Can do' attitude and proactive approach.
  • Effective team player.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Be physically active due to the nature of the role, dealing with heavy goods.
  • Comfortable working in a temperature up to -25 degrees Celsius.
  • High level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Collate and despatch orders to customer requirements with high level of accuracy.
  • To check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and damages.
  • Accurately record stock movements.
  • Timely and accurate booking in of stock.
  • Adhere to the company's Health, Safety and Hygiene Policies.
  • Pick customer orders as per company procedures, undertaking all necessary controls, ensuring temperature disciplines, stacking, labelling and security procedures are complied with.
  • High accuracy of detail when accepting inbound deliveries.
  • Undertake MHE duties as required, ensuring daily safety checks are carried out thoroughly.
  • Assist with regular and spot stock takes as required.Work with colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is always maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
  • Placing and picking stock from the correct location to ensure traceability
  • Unload and load stock from vehicles safely and diligently.
  • Comply with quarantine procedures and non-conformance procedures as required.
  • To comply with all Company procedures ensuring that all paperwork associated with the role is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow all SOPs, BRC and hygiene standards.
  • Follow the requirements of the Standard Operating Procedures for the safe and legal handling of food.
  • Take reasonable care of both your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions, ensuring all company safety and quality systems are adhered to. Raising concerns and reporting any incidents to your manager.
  • Ensuring all waste is segregated and disposed of in line with the company processes, recycling wherever possible.
  • To carry out any other reasonable management instruction to the expected standards which ultimately supports the business.

Job description

Our client urgently requires Warehouse Operatives / Forklift Drivers for a local company based in Peterborough. Hours are set shifts of 06.00-14.00pm or 14.00-22.00pm Monday to Friday or rotating shifts Monday to Friday 06.00-14.00pm and 14.00-22.00pm. Rate of pay is £13.38 per hour +£47.00 per week freezer supplement. It is a 37.50 hours per week. Working hours must be flexible as shift changes and weekend working is required during busy periods.
