Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Forklift Operator in Thame, Oxfordshire. The role supports Pallet Network activities with a morning shift and 45 hours per week, typically 6:30am–4:30pm, plus one Saturday morning per month (5am–11am).

Typical duties include moving items between warehouse and vehicles, data handling in systems, and coordinating with the transport team. Ex-military candidates are encouraged, but all applicants are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Move or collect items from the warehouse to vehicles.
• Communicate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
• Monitor emails and phone calls from clients, depots and colleagues.
• Operate systems and Microsoft packages used by pallet networks.
• Ensure pallets are scanned, labelled and allocated to correct vehicles.
• Support the Transport Manager and Shift Supervisors to meet Health & Safety regulations.

Location:Thame, Oxfordshire

Salary: £29,600 per annum

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking aForklift Operatoron behalf of one of our clients.

This role is based in the Transport yard and warehouse - You willbe required to work across various activities to support the Pallet Network activitieswith our morning shift Forklift operations. You will need to be flexible, willing toadapt and learn and will be comfortable working in a transport and warehouseenvironment. You will work a 45 hour work week, working Monday - Friday, roughly 6:30am - 4:30pm. You will be required to work one Saturday morning per month, between 5am - 11am.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• You will be requiredto support in various areas of the Transportand warehouse departments. This willinclude moving or collecting items from thewarehouse to vehicles.
• You will be required to effectivelycommunicate with various people at alllevels within the business. You will beworking closely with all members of the
• team.
• You will be required to monitor and respondto e-mails and telephone calls from clients,depots and colleagues.
• Our pallet networks use specific systems tomanage their manifests and as such, youwill be required to be proficient in using allthe appropriate systems along with allMicrosoft packages.
• You will be required to work very closelywith the other members of the transportteam as well as key stakeholders to ensureall operational processes are efficient.
• A key part of the role is ensuring that all ofthe pallets that are delivered from the hubare accurately scanned and labelled inpreparation for the daily deliveries.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that allthe pallets you handle have the appropriatelabels and are allocated to the correctvehicles (escalating any issues).
• Supporting the Transport Manager andShift Supervisors where required to ensureall Health & Safety regulations are met.
• Complying with all Health & Safetyregulations as set out by regulatory bodies.
