Job summary

Gi Group UK is recruiting a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy operation in Sheldon/Yardley, near Birmingham. The role requires safe, accurate handling to minimise damage and optimise stock movement.

The position runs 7:00pm–12:00am, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour. PM shift duties include general warehouse tasks such as packing and dispatch preparation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' counterbalance forklift experience
• Confident, competent forklift operator with a strong focus on safety
• Experience using long fork attachments (highly desirable)
• Good understanding of container loading / space optimisation
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on a PM shift

Responsibilities

• Operating a counterbalance forklift to move, store and pick stock safely and efficiently
• Loading containers correctly to maximise space and ensure secure, compliant loads
• Working accurately to reduce risk of damage to stock, racking and equipment
• Supporting general warehouse duties as required, keeping the work area clean and safe
• Please note this role is 70% Forklift, 30% general warehouse helping with wrapping and preparing parcels for dispatch

Forklift Counterbalance Driver (PM Shift) - Sheldon/Yardley | £12.71 per hour

We're recruiting a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy operation in Sheldon/Yardley. This is a great opportunity for someone confident on a counterbalance truck who takes pride in safe, accurate handling to minimise damage to stock and equipment.

Pay rate

£12.71 per hour

Shift pattern

• Monday to Friday
• 7:00pm - 12:00am (midnight)

Key responsibilities

• Operating a counterbalance forklift to move, store and pick stock safely and efficiently
• Loading containers correctly to maximise space and ensure secure, compliant loads
• Working accurately to reduce risk of damage to stock, racking and equipment
• Supporting general warehouse duties as required, keeping the work area clean and safe

What we're looking for
