Job summary

Placr Recruitment and its Shoreham client are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative with a current counterbalance forklift licence. The role is Monday to Friday in a busy warehouse, focusing on accurate picking, packing and stock handling.

You will load and unload deliveries, operate a forklift safely, maintain stock records in the Warehouse Management System and work closely with colleagues in a friendly, supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift licence desirable.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good attention to detail.
• Confidence reading delivery notes and handling stock.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use warehouse systems.
• Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while being a supportive team player.
• Physical ability to carry out manual handling and warehouse duties.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load and unload deliveries safely.
• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and confidently.
• Move and store stock in the correct warehouse locations.
• Prepare completed orders for courier collection.
• Attach shipping labels and ensure orders are correctly despatched.
• Use the Warehouse Management System to maintain accurate stock records.
• Carry out manual handling and general warehouse duties.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure the warehouse operates smoothly.
