Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking an experienced Forklift Engineer to join its service team. You will maintain, service, diagnose faults and repair a wide range of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment, both in the workshop and at customer sites.

The role offers hands-on field service with a strong focus on customer relationships and quality workmanship, including on-site support and timely servicing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Forklift Engineer or Plant/Materials Handling Engineer.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks (diesel, LPG and electric).
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carry out LOLER inspections (where qualified).
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
• Provide a high level of customer service on site.
• Work efficiently to agreed schedules and response times.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Forklift Engineer to join our clients growing service team. You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, fault diagnosis and repair of a wide range of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment, both in the workshop and at customer sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality service and building strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience Required
