Forklift Truck Driver / Warehouse Supervisor

£26,500 plus overtime if desired. Outskirts of Bedford; own transport is essential due to the location of the firm.

We are seeking a Forklift Driver / Warehouse Supervisor to join a small, busy team. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, including picking and packing, quality checking, loading and unloading vehicles, and working with a forklift.

Responsibilities include:

• Picking and preparing orders for dispatch
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Assisting with stock takes
• Working with a Warehouse Management System
• Checking incoming products and processing relevant paperwork

Requirements:

• Previous warehouse experience required
• Counterbalance or Reach Forklift Truck experience or training is an advantage
• Physically fit and able to work well in a team
• Basic computer skills
• Good communication skills
• Flexible approach and willing to work overtime (paid) when required

Manual handling of products, general upkeep of the warehouse to ensure health and safety, and forklift yard work are part of the role. If you hold a counterbalance or 7.5T licence, this would be advantageous, and salary will depend on experience.

This position is suitable for a physically fit individual with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and develop their knowledge. The ideal candidate would reside in or be seeking work in the Bedford or St Neots area. Due to the location, own transport is essential.
