Prime Appointments is seeking a Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative in Maldon, Essex, for a 6-month contract with a potential permanent opening. Pay starts at £14.50 per hour, rising to £15+ after 3 months, with an immediate start.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and own transport due to site location. You will be central to a busy FMCG operation, handling forklift tasks, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring efficient product flow from production to dispatch.

Qualifications

• Valid counterbalance forklift licence.
• Previous experience in logistics and warehousing.
• FMCG or high-speed manufacturing experience preferred.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn and progress.
• Knowledge of HACCP, ISO, or COSHH is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Drive a counterbalance forklift safely and confidently.
• Carry out vehicle checks before loading.
• Load vehicles carefully to avoid damage.
• Work closely with hauliers and internal teams.
• Ensure paperwork is correct and complete.
• Champion health, safety, and hygiene standards.

We are recruiting a Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to become a key player in a busy FMCG operation in Maldon.

Please note: a full UK driving licence and your own transport are essential due to the site location.

What your day will look like

You will be right at the heart of the warehouse operation, keeping products flowing smoothly from production to dispatch. It is hands‑on, energetic work where no two days are the same and everyone pulls together.

Responsibilities

• Drive a counterbalance forklift safely and confidently

Working Hours

Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours per week (rotating shifts):

• Week 1: 05:45 - 14:00
• Week 2: 07:30 - 15:45
• Week 3: 14:00 - 22:15
