Job summary

Prime-Appointments is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver for a busy logistics operation near Maldon, Essex. The role is a temporary position with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Daily tasks include loading/unloading with a Counterbalance forklift, moving goods to storage and dispatch areas, and preparing items for dispatch while following safety procedures. A valid forklift licence and own transport are required due to rural location.

Qualifications

• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is essential.
• Experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution or supply chain environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical fitness and confidence with manual handling duties.
• Reliable, positive attitude with a focus on safety and detail.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles using a Counterbalance forklift.
• Move goods to designated storage and dispatch areas.
• Wrap and secure finished goods for dispatch.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
• Follow all warehouse health and safety procedures.

Job description

Salary: GBP14 - GBP14 per hour

Location: Near Maldon, Essex – rural location, own transport required
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary
Hours: 10:00–18:00, Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for a Forklift Driver to join a busy Logistics and Distribution company based on the outskirts of Maldon, Essex. This is an excellent temporary opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Please note: Due to the rural location of the site, applicants must have their own transport.

Duties of the Forklift Driver:

• Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance forklift
• Moving goods to designated storage and dispatch areas
• Wrapping and securing finished goods ready for dispatch
• Supporting with general warehouse duties as required
• Following all warehouse health and safety procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence – essential
• Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics distribution and supply chain environment
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A good level of physical fitness and confidence with manual handling duties
• A reliable and positive approach to work
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to working safely
