M4 Recruitment are working with a leading metal distributor who are expanding the team in Basingstoke. We are looking for Warehouse/forklift Operatives to start asap!

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and Packing:Accurately selecting and packing various metal items according to order specifications, ensuring they are ready for dispatch.
• Labelling and checking quantityof stock and filling in paperwork.
• Operating warehouse machinery, in particular the Counterbalance Forklift. (preferred not essential)
• Following Instructions:Adhering to, order details, and general warehouse procedures.
• Teamwork and Independence:Working effectively both as part of a team to achieve common goals and independently when required to complete individual tasks.
• General Warehouse Duties:Undertaking a range of warehouse tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the facility. This includes maintaining tidiness, organizing stock, and other related duties.
• Heavy Lifting:Performing tasks that may involve some heavy lifting of metal items, up to 25kg.
• Communication:Maintaining excellent communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and follow instructions accurately.
• Safety Awareness:Adhering to all health and safety regulations and procedures within the warehouse environment.
• Essential:Own transport due to the company's current location on the outskirts of Reading (RG7)
  
  

Monday - Friday AM shift 5am-2pm or Mid Shift9am-6pm.

This is a temporary position that could lead to a permanent role after a qualifying period.
