Job summary

Workchain is recruiting an experienced Forklift Reach Driver for a busy warehouse in Bedford. The role focuses on operating Reach and Counterbalance forklifts, moving materials and preparing pallets for dispatch.

You will receive full training on additional machinery and have the chance to progress to a permanent position. The ideal candidate holds a Reach forklift licence (essential), a counterbalance licence (preferred), and has proven forklift experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Reach Forklift licence (essential).
• Counterbalance licence (preferred).
• Previous forklift operating experience.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Forklift Reach Driver Bedford £30,000 per year Monday to Friday | 7:30am - 5:00pm Temporary to Permanent Immediate Start Available

Workchain is currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Reach Driver to join our client's busy warehouse team in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with a company that offers training, development, and the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team.

The Role

This position is predominantly forklift-based, with approximately 95% of your working day spent operating Reach and Counterbalance forklifts. You will play a key role in the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.

Duties include:

• Operating Reach and Counterbalance forklifts
• Moving materials throughout the warehouse
• Packing and preparing pallets for dispatch
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
• Receiving training on additional warehouse machinery and equipment
• Supporting the wider warehouse team when required

Requirements
