Whitehall Garden Centre, a family-run and award-winning business, is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Forklift Driver/Goods In Operative at our Lacock Garden Centre. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of an inspirational team.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for customer service and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and motivation are essential.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, minimum 7 hours per day, with potential to work 8-hour days during seasonal peak periods. Typical hours are 8:30 am - 3:30/4:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving, unloading, and inspecting incoming deliveries
  • Checking stock against delivery notes and booking in stock
  • Organising and storing goods
  • Distributing goods and replenishing stock around the site safely
  • Managing waste around the site
  • Maintaining knowledge of the centre's layout
  • Ensuring compliance with Whitehall's H&S guidelines
  • Fostering cooperative relationships with staff, managers, and third parties
  • Counterbalance and Teletruck licence preferred; training can be provided
  • Physically capable of manual tasks and heavy lifting
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player with excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines
