Job summary

Workchain is recruiting an experienced Forklift Driver for Abingdon to join a busy warehouse team on a temp-to-perm basis. The role focuses on safe forklift operation, loading and unloading, and supporting daily warehouse tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts run Monday to Friday, 09:00–19:00, with a 1-hour unpaid break. Weekly pay, on-site parking, and an immediate start are available as you progress toward a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence.
• Previous warehouse and forklift experience.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift truck safely and efficiently.
• Assist the morning forklift team during busy periods.
• Support the Warehouse Manager with general duties.
• Load, unload and move stock around the warehouse.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized and safe.
• Unload returning vehicles at the end of the day.
• Prepare freight for overnight trunk vehicles with another driver.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
