Job summary

Curve Recruitment are partnering with a well-established construction contractor to hire a Forklift Driver on a permanent basis. You will operate forklifts safely on busy sites, load and move materials, and support site logistics.

The package includes £15.00–£17.00 per hour, plus a £100 weekly bonus, 25 days annual leave and an auto-enrolment pension. CSCS Card, First Aid at Work and a basic forklift qualification are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating forklifts on construction sites.
• Basic forklift qualification is essential.
• CSCS Card is required.
• First Aid at Work certificate is desirable.
• Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach.
• Strong references demonstrating reliability and safe practices.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently on busy construction sites.
• Load, unload and transport materials around site.
• Assist with movement of slung loads when required.
• Carry out daily equipment checks and report defects.
• Support site logistics to ensure materials are available.
• Maintain a safe, tidy and organised working environment.
• Collaborate with site management and other trades for smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a forklift safely and efficiently on busy construction sites.

• Loading, unloading and transporting materials around site.

• Assisting with the movement of slung loads where required.

• Carrying out daily equipment checks and reporting any defects.

• Supporting site logistics to ensure materials are available where needed.
