Job summary

Hales Group are recruiting a Forklift Driver to operate Reach Truck or Counterbalance within our busy Stradbroke site. The role is a temporary to permanent position with immediate start. Salary is paid at £13.19 per hour, with Monday to Friday shifts.

You will move stock, support production and ensure stock accuracy while maintaining high health and safety standards. Training can be provided to convert licences and refresher courses are available for expiring certificates.

Qualifications

• Reach Truck licence preferred.
• Counterbalance licence holders willing to convert to Reach will be considered.
• Forklift certificates that have expired within the last two months may be refreshed.
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties, including lifting 10kg bags.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to undertake relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Operating a Reach Truck forklift to move stock, materials and finished goods safely around site
• Loading, unloading and storing products within warehouse locations
• Supplying production lines with materials as required
• Carrying out stock movements and general warehouse duties
• Working on a small bagging line within the production area
• Packing and sealing finished products
• Manually stacking bags onto pallets
• Operating a pallet wrapping machine
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
• Completing basic administrative and computer-based tasks where required

Hales Group are recruiting for a Reach Truck / Forklift Driver to join a busy production and warehouse operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced forklift operator looking for a varied role within a supportive team environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe movement of stock and materials throughout the site using a Reach Truck forklift. Whilst forklift operations will form a key part of the role, candidates will also support production activities as required to ensure customer orders are completed efficiently and on time.

We welcome applications from candidates holding either a Reach Truck or Counterbalance licence. For those with a Counterbalance licence, training can be provided to convert to Reach Truck certification. We can also support candidates whose forklift licence has recently expired, provided it is no more than two months out of date, by arranging refresher training.
