Forklift Driver

Our client based in Shepton Mallet are seeking a Forklift & Warehouse Operative to join their team on a temporary basis.

The purpose of the role is to support their day shift in the run up to summer; however, for the right candidate, this has the possibility to become a permanent role.

Availability over the summer period is an essential criteria.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Operating the Forklift
• Loading and unloading lorries
• Putting incoming goods away
• Order picking of various stock items using an electronic handheld device
• Loading and packing stock onto pallets for distribution
• Using manual pump trucks
• Other Warehouse duties including good housekeeping

Requirements:

• A valid reach forklift licence is required
• A successful candidate will have good customer service and a polite friendly demeanour as you will be part of a busy team
• Physical fitness and manual handling awareness is essential for this role as you will be picking cased items from warehouse locations
• Literate and numerate showing due diligence
• Safety shoes are required for this position
