Job summary

Prime Appointments are recruiting for a Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join an established food manufacturing business in Maldon. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the first 3 months via Prime Appointments, then a direct fixed-term contract with a salary of £30,000 per year.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, with potential for alternative shifts in the future. A full UK driving licence is required as forklifts may be driven on public roads.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid counterbalance forklift licence.
• Experience in warehouse or logistics preferred.
• Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift.
• Carry out daily forklift and vehicle checks.
• Load and unload vehicles safely.
• Move stock around the warehouse and production areas.
• Prepare products for dispatch.
• Work with hauliers and internal teams.
• Complete relevant paperwork accurately.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and hygiene.

Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm

Prime Appointments are recruiting for a Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join an established food manufacturing business in Maldon.

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity, with the first 3 months through Prime Appointments. Following successful completion of the first 3 months, you will transfer onto the client's direct fixed-term contract, with your salary increasing to £30,000 per year.

There may also be opportunities to move onto alternative shift patterns further down the line, depending on business requirements.

Please note: Full UK driving licence is required as you will be driving forklifts on public roads

Duties will of the Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative include:

• Operating a counterbalance forklift
• Carrying out daily forklift and vehicle checks
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely
• Moving stock around the warehouse and production areas
• Preparing products for dispatch
• Working with hauliers and internal teams
• Completing relevant paperwork accurately
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene
• General warehouse duties as required

The ideal candidate will have:

• A valid counterbalance forklift licence
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience
• Experience within FMCG or food manufacturing would be an advantage
• Good attention to detail
• A strong health and safety awareness
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Full UK driving licence

Working hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

These are the initial working hours. Alternative shifts may become available further down the line depending on the needs of the business.
