Connect are recruiting experienced Forklift Drivers to join one of our Livingston based production and manufacturing client.

This is a full-time ongoing position with immediate starts available, working 5 days over 7, from 05:30 to 15:30 - paid weekly at £13.67 per hour.

Working as a Forklift Driver you will be responsible for moving goods, loaded pallets and equipment safely and securely. In addition to driving forklifts, as a Forklift Driver you may also need to undertake general warehouse duties as and when needed. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manoeuvring forklifts safely in busy industrial environments
  • Safely using a forklift to stack and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets
  • Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas using a forklift
  • Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
  • Ensuring forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
  • Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
  • Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods

To be successful in this position you will have a valid license, combined with: Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail; The physical ability to perform manual labour; The ability to work well in a team; Knowledge of warehouse H&S requirements; The ability to itemise and record stock for inventories.
