Job summary

Class 1 Personnel is seeking a Forklift Driver for a Heathrow airport-based logistics operation. The role requires FLT experience, ability to work day and night shifts, and compliance with aviation security through a 5-year reference history and a clean DBS.

You will use handheld devices to locate cargo, build and break down pallets, and handle a variety of cargo types in a modern, 24/7 warehouse environment. A strong team player with flexible and self-motivated attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift experience and certification.
• Clean DBS and be able to provide 5-year history with referees for Aviation Security requirements.
• Willing to work a flexible rota including days and nights at Heathrow

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift truck to locate and move cargo.
• Build and break down pallets and palletize cargo.
• Process paperwork per client requirements.
• Handle special cargo and use hand-held devices for cargo identification.
• Be a strong team player with a flexible, self-motivated approach.
• Ensure compliance with DBS and aviation clearance requirements.
• Work 24/7 shift patterns as part of a modern warehouse team.

Working hours will vary based on weekly rota
Please note the warehouse operates 24 hrs a day 7 days a week
Ideal candidate will be able to work flexible hours
Shifts: candidates must be flexible to work both days and nights. Warehouse Operative mixed with Forklift (when needed) - FLT experience needed and assessed by client FLT trainer!

Duties and Responsibilities of a Forklift Driver:

• Be able to provide your last 5 years history-Ideally only 1-5 jobs since 2021
• HMRC LETTER or PDF via app required
• Clean DBS- No criminal record
• Candidates will be expected to use hand-held devices to locate and identify cargo.
• Process paperwork in accordance with our client's requirements.
• Handling special cargo products
• Building and breaking pallets
• Manual handling
• Forklift truck driving
• Preparing and palletizing cargo as needed
• To make a success of this role, you must have previous experience of working in a busy modern warehouse,
• Be a great team player and show a flexible and self-motivated approach to your role.
• You must be able to provide a 5-year checkable history with referees to comply with the Aviation Security requirements.
• Our warehouse operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you will also be prepared to work shift patterns.
• All candidates need to have Forklift Truck driving experience and be certified as a forklift driver.
