Job Opportunity: Forklift Driver

Gap Personnel is working with our client near Stoke Ferry, a leading company in their field, to recruit a Forklift Driver on a full-time, temporary ongoing basis.

You will be working within the production department of a company that packs and distributes charcoal and kindling to local businesses such as restaurants across the UK. The role involves operating a forklift truck (FLT) and other related duties.

Requirements

• Own transport is essential due to location

Pay and Hours

• GBP 14.46 per hour, with overtime paid at GBP 21.69 per hour
• Monday to Friday, 06:30 AM to 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance forklift trucks safely and check equipment daily
• Load and unload goods from lorries
• Use radio frequency equipment to communicate with team members
• Manually handle goods when necessary
• Stack and move goods within storage areas
• Pick and pack orders
• Complete delivery notes and stock control paperwork
• Palletising, heavy lifting, line work
• Work as part of a team or independently on a line

You may also be asked to perform additional duties such as general housekeeping and maintaining a clean working environment. All employees are expected to adhere to the client's health and safety policies and best practices.
