Job description

We have a position available for an experienced Forklift Driver, to carry out Warehouse and Logistics duties in our engineering and manufacturing facility at Pyroban, providing explosion protection solutions for industries operating in hazardous areas.

This is a key role in the movement of forklift trucks to and from the Production department, preparing vehicles and goods for collection, and assisting with daily Stores activities, playing a critical role in ensuring the timely supply of parts to internal departments and external customers.

As a Forklift Driver / Warehouse and Logistics Assistant, you will report daily to the Logistics Team Leader, load/unload lorries delivering forklifts and goods – lifting very large and heavy crates and metalworks, which require confidence and experience with such items.

Good literacy and basic IT skills are needed to handle emails, H&S paperwork and input new truck arrivals on the database.

Hands on, you will prepare completed forklifts for despatch to customers, assist with truck maintenance, carry out some picking, packing, inventory control and work in line with start dates, using your problem solving skills where necessary.

What We re Looking For:

• B1 and B2 counterbalance forklift truck license, minimum 2 years experience, ideally with an Electric pallet stacker/A5 powered pallet stacker licence, and/or other truck licences.
• Previous experience of working in a forklift truck driving role.
• Previous experience of working in a warehousing environment
• Basic IT skills specifically Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Full Driving License.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is GBP24,586 to GBP25,678 and comes with 25 days holiday and the option to purchase an additional 10 days of holiday, health cash plan, 5% employer pension contribution, life assurance, employee assistance programme, and various well–being initiatives.
