Job summary

Owen Payne Recruitment is seeking an experienced Forklift Counterbalance Operator for a Bilston-based role. This 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity requires a valid Counterbalance FLT licence, overhead crane experience, and the ability to handle large lengths of steel while managing stock records in an MRP system.

You will support production with material movement, perform general admin tasks, and work closely with other departments to optimise material flow.

Qualifications

• Requires in-date Counterbalance FLT licence and accredited licence.
• Experience operating overhead crane in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience handling large lengths of steel.
• Familiar with MRP/inventory systems.
• Manufacturing background and basic IT skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance FLT and overhead crane.
• Manage Goods In/Out processes and stock records.
• Move materials to support production and maintain housekeeping.
• Collaborate with production and other departments to ensure material flow.

Forklift Counterbalance Operator – Bilston

Owen Payne Recruitment are seeking an experienced Forklift to join a growing team in Bilston. This is a 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.

***** Important: A valid Counterbalance FLT licence , experience working with large lengths of Steel and experience with an overhead crane are essential *****

Key Duties:

• Operate Counterbalance FLT and overhead crane
• Manage Goods In/Out processes
• Support production with material movement
• Maintain stock records using MRP system
• General admin and housekeeping duties
• Work closely with production and other departments

Hours:

• Mon–Thurs: 07:00–15:45
• Fri: 07:00–13:00

Pay:

• £14.38 per hour + overtime

Requirements:

• FLT Counterbalance licence (in-date & accredited licence is required)
• Overhead crane experience (required)
• Experience handling large lengths of steel
• MRP / inventory knowledge
• Manufacturing background
• Basic IT skills
