Job Description:

Fork lift Operator

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the safe operational use of the Fork Trucks and Pallet Trucks, reporting any issues.
  • Complete all daily checks and ensure the daily check sheet is filled out.
  • Ensure that the working area for the forklifts is clear and accessible at all times.
  • Load and unload vehicles effectively, following all H&S guidelines with caution.
  • Follow Goods In and Out procedures and ensure correct placement of stock and finished goods.
  • Keep internal and external areas clear of rubbish, including emptying bins and managing recycling, pallets, waste, and parking areas.
  • Store palletized goods properly to minimize damage.
  • Regulate shrink wrapping of pallets to prevent damage during loading and unloading.
  • Perform stock location checks as directed, maintaining accuracy and integrity of stock.
  • Charge trucks as needed.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as directed by Supervisors or Team Leaders.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience with Reach and Counterbalance forklifts and relevant licenses.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and raise issues promptly.
  • Accurate and thorough in completing paperwork.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-managed and proactive attitude.

Requirements: Counterbalance (desirable), Reach Truck (essential)

Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday 06:00 - 18:00
