Job summary

Vanta Staffing Limited is seeking experienced forklift drivers to join our logistics client in Slough. The role requires operating counterbalance and reach forklifts, loading and moving stock, and supporting general warehouse duties in a busy environment. Perm opportunity after a successful temporary period.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance forklift licence.
• Valid Reach forklift licence.
• Previous forklift and warehouse experience.
• Able to walk 20,000–25,000 steps per shift.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating counterbalance and reach forklift trucks.
• Loading, unloading and moving stock throughout the warehouse.
• Replenishing stock and ensuring production lines are kept supplied.
• Building and preparing pallets for storage and dispatch.
• Using pump trucks and manual pallet trucks when required.
• Supporting general warehouse operations.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Forklift Driver – Counterbalance & Reach

Location: Slough

Pay Rate: £14.75 per hour PAYE

Shift Pattern: 3 Days On, 3 Days Off – Rotating Days & Nights

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Vanta Staffing is currently recruiting experienced Forklift Drivers for our established logistics client based in Slough.

The role involves operating both counterbalance and reach forklifts alongside general warehouse duties in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operating counterbalance and reach forklift trucks.
• Loading, unloading and moving stock throughout the warehouse.
• Replenishing stock and ensuring production lines are kept supplied.
• Building and preparing pallets for storage and dispatch.
• Using pump trucks and manual pallet trucks when required.
• Supporting general warehouse operations.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance and Reach Forklift licences – both essential.
• Previous forklift and warehouse experience.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
• Must be physically fit and prepared to walk approximately 20,000–25,000 steps per shift.
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Own safety boots and high-visibility clothing.

Working Hours

3 Days On, 3 Days Off – 12-Hour Shifts

Day Shift: 07:00 – 19:00

Night Shift: 19:00 – 07:00

Rotating shift pattern covering both days and nights.
