Job summary

Proman Recruitment is seeking FLT Counterbalance Operators in Ashton in Makerfield (WN4) for day and night shifts. Rate of pay: £14.24/hour days and £15.12/night with 39 hours per week and breaks paid. 12-week temp-to-perm after the probationary period.

Responsibilities include warehouse tasks, moving goods, stacking in bays, loading/unloading by hand where needed, and daily equipment checks. Applicants must hold RTITB/ITSSAR or equivalent.

FLT Counterbalance / Reach truck Driver

Ashton in Makerfield (WN4)

Days and Nights shifts available.

Rate of pay: £14.24/hour days and £15.12 nights

Guaranteed temp to perm after 12 weeks

The Role:

• As a forklift truck operator, your main duties would include:

• performing other warehouse tasks like picking, packing and despatch when needed
• moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
• stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following supervisors instructions
• checking loads are secure
• stacking empty pallets
• performing daily equipment checks, for example recharging the truck's battery (if the truck is electric)
• helping to load and unload trucks by hand where necessary

The shifts:

• Day shift: Rotating 1 week AM(6am-2pm Monday to Friday) 2 week PM (2pm-10pm Monday to Friday) £14.24/Hour with one hour early finish on Friday. 39hours paid a week(Breaks paid).
• Night Shift: Monday to Thursday 10pm-6am and Friday 11pm-6am £15.12/hour. 39hours paid a week (Breaks paid).

The Candidate:

To be successful, you need to:

• have a valid license/certificate to operate FLT trucks (Counterbalance)-RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent
• be punctual and reliable
• be able to organise and prioritise workload
• have good numeracy and literacy skills
