A leading UK university is seeking a Peer to Peer Learning Manager for the Forging Ahead Project. This role involves coordinating peer learning activities across 15 partner universities to support Technology Transfer Professionals. The position is vital for enhancing commercial success through innovative approaches. Loughborough University is seeking a dynamic and motivated Peer to Peer Learning Manager to join the Forging Ahead Project team.
About the Project
Forging Ahead is an initiative to transform innovation and entrepreneurship across the Midlands. A coalition of 15 Midlands university partners has launched a bold new project that will revolutionise how research and innovation are translated into real-world impact across the region.
Led by Loughborough University and Midlands Innovation, it will enhance the commercialisation ecosystem, boost entrepreneurial activity, scale innovation, and create pathways for academic ideas to become high-growth ventures.
This programme aims to reshape knowledge exchange, IP commercialisation, spinout creation, and investment attraction, unlocking the region’s research and innovation strengths for commercial success. It will strengthen networks, build capacity, and support diverse talent to drive inclusive economic growth and benefit communities.
Initially, it will focus on launching and expanding initiatives that nurture entrepreneurial talent, grow investment readiness, and embed a culture of innovation within and beyond universities. It will scale proven models and pilot new approaches to make commercialisation more accessible, inclusive, and impactful.
Backed by multi-million-pound funding from Research England’s Connecting Capability Fund, with additional support from partner universities and regional stakeholders.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of the Forging Ahead Project. The Peer to Peer Learning Manager will coordinate peer-to-peer learning activities supporting Technology Transfer Professionals (TTPs) across 15 partner universities. The goal is to equip individuals and teams with the knowledge, skills, and networks to enhance commercialisation success across the Midlands.
The post holder will build strong relationships with project partners to understand their needs and those of their TTPs and wider stakeholders. They will plan, organise, execute, and deliver high-quality learning activities, workshops, events, and resources that promote knowledge sharing, networking, and commercialisation success.
The manager will utilise new technologies to deliver support effectively both in person and online, ensure high standards, maintain a repository of best practices, evaluate impact, and contribute to reporting and planning.
The role is primarily based at Loughborough’s East Midlands Campus, with regular travel to partner locations across the region; therefore, willingness to travel is essential. Some evening and flexible working will be required.
