They currently have a Goods in and Dispatch Operative position available. Experience in these areas is advantageous, but they are also open to enthusiastic individuals from other industries with transferable skills.

The role they are hiring for is:

Forge Press Operative

Hours: 39 hours per week

Work Pattern: 3 shifts (mornings, afternoons, nights)

Hourly Rate: £16.15 - £16.88 + Shift allowance

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after 39 hours

Reporting to the Forge Manager, responsibilities include:

  • Forging using press controls and setting press tools for accurate production
  • Safe operation of furnaces, including setting digital controls
  • Inspecting forging for defects and taking corrective actions
  • Identifying raw materials and separating scrap
  • Following work orders and drawings
  • Ancillary operations such as saw operation, material movement, linishing, shotblasting, and glassing

  • Willingness to learn and be trained
  • Adherence to health and safety rules
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
  • Following process instructions and quality standards

  • Flexibility to transfer between areas and work shifts, including nights
  • Ability to interpret drawings and use measuring equipment

Training can be provided; experience is preferred but not essential.
