Job summary

Forged Solutions Group is recruiting two Forge Auxiliary positions at Blaenavon to support product production in line with customer specifications and departmental KPIs such as right first time, on time in full, and productivity.

The roles involve working in a hot forging environment, following SOPs, and contributing to continuous improvement while maintaining health and safety practices. A reliable team player with strong time management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in hot working/forging environment is essential.
• Experience in manufacturing environment is essential.
• Flexible and promotes good working practices.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills with team working.

Responsibilities

• Operate within the Method of Manufacture to maintain required quality standards.
• Support production processes including Hydraulic Presses/Hydraulic Hammers/Rolling Mills/Expanders and Tool Changing per SOPs.
• Record data and log production throughput in the relevant systems.
• Raise non-conformance reports and liaise with Line Manager and Quality Department.
• Contribute to TPM and 5S activities and support continuous improvement.

Job description

We are currently recruiting 2 x Forge Auxiliary positions within our Rings Forges here at Blaenavon. The successful candidates will play an important part of a close team to produce products in line with customer demand that conform to Customer specification and to achieve departmental KPIs with respect to right first time, on time in full and productivity.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:

• To work within the Method of Manufacture and ensure the required quality standard is maintained at all times.
• To undertake supporting processes based on business need to support product production, including but not limited to, operating Hydraulic Presses / Hydraulic Hammers / Rolling Mills / Expanders/ Tool Changing in line with the relevant SoP.
• Completing/updating all in process documentation as required, recording key data and information in accordance with the relevant system and / or process, including but not limited to, logging production throughput data into efacs.
• To raise non-conformance reports through quality system, and report to line Manager and Quality Department.
• Encourage and actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by performing daily TPM AND 5‘s activities
• Support and promote a Health & Safety culture by adhering to all aspects of Health & Safety including carrying out checks prior to start up and ensuring that Personal Protective Equipment requirements are adhered to at all times.
• Undertake other tasks within capabilities, in any department across the business, as requested by the Manager / Supervisor.
