Job summary

Nicholsons is seeking a Forester for a 12-month industry placement from September 2027 to August 2028. You'll be based at our North Aston site (Oxfordshire) and gain hands-on experience across woodland creation, management and estate projects.

You'll work with experienced foresters, assist with surveys, data collection and operations, and develop practical and technical forestry skills while building a career rooted in nature.

Qualifications

• Student on a placement year studying Forestry, Arboriculture or related field.
• Passion for the natural environment.
• Practical, proactive and willing to learn.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Join a growing forestry team working across woodland creation, management and estate projects. You'll gain hands‑on experience in all aspects of modern forestry, from planting and establishment through to woodland management, harvesting and conservation.

This position is a 12-month industry placement, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) 7:30am – 4:30pm, from our Oxfordshire site in North Aston.
