Job description

An opportunity exists in the Council's Street Scene Services for a Forestry & Estates Team Member on a career graded basis, working within a small team based at our Depot at Monckton Road, Wakefield.

What will be expected from me?

To undertake a range of Arboricultural and Forestry duties in a flexible manner, providing a citizen-focused service.

What might I be doing?

At levels 1 - 3, the post holder may occasionally perform tasks above their grade to develop their knowledge and experience for progression.

The post involves working in a team dedicated to protecting, maintaining, and improving the district's woodlands and trees.

Ensure services are delivered to high standards, meeting client and customer requirements, in line with the Council's Customer Care and Equal Opportunities policies.

Work within recognised safe systems and comply with all health and safety legislation.

Collaborate effectively with the Forestry Officer to deliver services and foster good relationships across the Council.

Assist the Forestry Officer in Forestry and Arboricultural Maintenance Services across the District, aligned with Wakefield District's strategic priorities.

Deliver front-line forestry and arboricultural services efficiently to meet service and council objectives.
