Forest School Instructor – SEMH Provision – Tamworth - September 2025
Are you a passionate Forest School Instructor who believes in the power of outdoor learning to transform lives? A specialist SEMH provision in Tamworth is seeking a creative and nurturing Forest School Instructor to support Key Stage 3 and 4 students who have been excluded from mainstream education. This is a unique opportunity to use nature-based learning to inspire and engage young people who thrive in alternative settings.

As a Forest School Instructor, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging outdoor sessions that help students develop key life skills, emotional resilience, and a love of learning. Working with small groups, you’ll support pupils with complex social, emotional, and behavioural needs, helping them to self-regulate and re-engage with education in a meaningful way. Your sessions will include bushcraft, fire lighting, team-building, and environmental education, all tailored to the needs of your learners. This role requires a Level 3 certificate for Forest School Leaders or relevant qualification.

Job Role:
  • Planning and delivering high-quality Forest School sessions for students with SEMH needs.
  • Using nature and outdoor activities to promote emotional well-being and personal growth.
  • Managing behaviour in a calm and supportive way, fostering trust and positive relationships.
