Job summary

Brandon Trust is seeking a Forest Skills Co-ordinator to lead our Forest School and outdoor learning provision at Grimsbury Farm. This role is part-time (30 hours per week) and offers an opportunity to help people grow confidence, independence and practical outdoor skills within a supportive social enterprise.

You will plan and deliver engaging activities, promote inclusion and ensure safety and safeguarding across all sessions, building strong relationships with families and local partners.

Qualifications

• Has experience delivering Forest School, outdoor learning or nature-based activities.
• Is passionate about inclusion and creating opportunities for people to succeed.
• Can build positive relationships with a wide range of people and organisations.
• Has strong planning and organisational skills.
• Is confident leading activities and supporting others to learn and develop.
• Understands safeguarding, health and safety and risk management in outdoor environments.
• Can inspire others through creativity, enthusiasm and a positive approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Forest School and outdoor learning activities
• Create opportunities for people to develop confidence, independence and practical outdoor skills
• Ensure outdoor learning experiences are safe, inclusive and accessible
• Support people to achieve meaningful outcomes and develop new skills
• Build positive relationships with families, community groups, education partners and local organisations
• Organise community events and activities that increase engagement and participation
• Support the growth and sustainability of the Forest School provision
• Promote environmental awareness, sustainability and connection with nature
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, safeguarding and risk management across all activities
