Forest School Leader

Job Start Date: 1st September 2025

Contract Length: Maternity Cover

Salary: TA3 – Scalepoint 7-17 dependent on experience,£11,843.88 - £13,916.00 per annum

19.5 hours per week

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Forest School Leader with a Level 3 Forest School qualification to lead engaging, inclusive outdoor learning sessions throughout the school year and across the full age range (Nursery to Year 6), as well as a weekly parent-and-toddler group (Astley Acorns). The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development, well-being and safety of all pupils through child-led learning experiences rooted in the Forest School ethos. This role requires flexibility, initiative, and a strong commitment to nurturing positive relationships within the school community. You will join a well-resourced, supportive team and work with polite, enthusiastic children in a school that values outdoor learning, environmental stewardship and Christian values at the heart of its curriculum.

The vacancy is for:

• Forest School Leader (Part time: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:30am -3:30pm with 30 minute lunch break each day)
• Start date is 1st September 2025
• Temporary contract (Maternity Cover)
• TA3 SCP7 to SCP17 FTE £25,584 – £30,060
