Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Forest School Lead for a secondary SEND school in Stoke. The role leads planning, teaching and assessment of Forest School activities, delivering sessions to small groups and 1:1 learning under the direction of the Outdoor Education Head and Deputy Headteacher. Salary is £25,000 - £30,000.

It is a fixed-term contract starting September. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Forest School qualification, appropriate First Aid, and a passion for empowering learners

Qualifications

• Forest School Leader Level 3 qualification.
• Proven experience with children in educational or outdoor settings.
• First Aid qualification (outdoor/emergency) or willingness to obtain.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, teach and assess Forest School sessions.
• Deliver 1:1 learning and small-group sessions under Outdoor Education Head.
