Job summary

Term Time Teachers are supporting a highly regarded independent preparatory school in Kent to appoint an inspiring Forest School Lead. Based in Tunbridge Wells, the role leads and develops the outdoor learning provision for ages 3-13 across Pre-Prep and Prep.

The successful candidate will hold Level 3 Forest School and have at least two years' experience, with Paediatric First Aid, to create engaging outdoor sessions, assess development, and collaborate with teachers.

Qualifications

• Proof of Level 3 Forest School qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years' practical Forest School experience.
• Paediatric First Aid certification or willingness to train.
• A genuine passion for outdoor learning and nature, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging Forest School sessions for ages 3–13.
• Plan and develop an outdoor learning programme.
• Promote wellbeing, confidence, independence in children.
• Collaborate with teachers to link outdoor learning to the curriculum.
• Oversee equipment, risk assessments and site safety.
• Observe and assess children's development and progress.
• Support clubs, events and broader school life.

We are supporting a highly regarded independent preparatory school in Kent to appoint an inspiring and experienced Forest School Lead.

Set within beautiful grounds, the school is looking for someone who can lead and develop its established Forest School provision across the Pre-Prep and Prep School.

The role:

• Lead engaging Forest School sessions for children aged 3-13
• Plan and develop an exciting outdoor learning programme
• Promote confidence, curiosity, wellbeing and independence
• Work closely with teachers to link outdoor learning across the curriculum
• Oversee equipment, risk assessments, health & safety and site management
• Support children's development through observation and assessment
• Contribute to clubs, events and wider school life

We're looking for someone who has:

• Level 3 Forest School qualification
• At least 2 years' practical Forest School experience
• A genuine passion for outdoor learning and nature
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to train)
