My client is one of the world's leading consultancies within their industry, with a privately owned business. They are currently looking for a skilled Forensic Vehicle Fire Investigator to join their Forensic Investigation team.

The Role - Forensic Vehicle Fire Investigator:
  1. Traveling to and from storage compounds or the location of fire-damaged vehicles.
  2. Conducting thorough forensic vehicle examinations, capturing important details and photographs.
  3. Using inspection results in conjunction with other evidence to determine the likely origin and cause of vehicle fires.
  4. Producing independent, technical reports that accurately present and interpret the evidence in a manner easily understandable by laypersons, insurers, lawyers, or courts.
  5. Working in full compliance with civil procedure rules.
  6. Liaising with barristers/legal teams and providing expert witness testimony in court when required.
Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
  1. Experience in forensic investigations.
  2. A Level 5 (HND) qualification in an engineering subject; previous vehicle fire investigation experience or qualification is ideal. However, candidates with high-level mechanical investigation experience are encouraged to apply, as training is available.
  3. Knowledge and abilities: Well-organized, motivated, capable of working autonomously, problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. A driving license and willingness to travel are essential.
  4. Preference for candidates located around the South Midlands/South East areas.
