The Role: As a Band 8a/8b Forensic Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing expert psychological assessments and interventions within forensic settings. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough psychological assessments of individuals in forensic services
  • Developing and implementing evidence-based interventions and treatment plans
  • Providing individual and group therapy to address complex mental health needs
  • Conducting risk assessments and contributing to risk management plans
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Providing consultation and advice to colleagues and external agencies

Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Forensic Psychologist with significant experience in forensic mental health
  • Strong assessment and formulation skills
  • Experience in delivering a range of therapeutic interventions within forensic settings
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
