Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for an Occupational Therapist to develop clinical experience within a forensic medium secure setting. The role involves holistic assessments, planning patient-centred interventions and working with the multidisciplinary team to support recovery.

You will receive supervision from a senior OT onsite and have opportunities to pursue further training and qualifications while contributing to high-quality care across the service.

Responsibilities

• Undertake holistic Occupational Therapy assessments and devise patient-centred treatment plans for individuals with complex needs.
• Deliver targeted OT interventions and evaluate outcomes to measure progress.
• Collaborate with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team; liaise with families and other professionals as needed.
• Provide supervision and support to team members; participate in training and professional development.
• Monitor and adapt care plans to ensure high standards of care from initial assessment to discharge.
