If the answer is yes, then this is the right role for you!

Here at Mountain Healthcare, we are looking for passionate, determined, and resilient individuals to join our teams as Forensic Custody Healthcare Professionals.

This role is an alternative career option for RGN's and qualified Paramedics with 3+ years' post qualification experience.

Custody environments are dynamic and lively, with no two days the same. Detainees can be held for up to 24 hours, during which we provide high-level care addressing issues like drug/alcohol dependency and acute medical episodes. Our healthcare professionals are also trained to collect forensic samples to assist police investigations.

Experience in forensics is NOT NECESSARY. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will work closely with police and receive training to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.

Hours of Work

If you seek a better work-life balance, this role offers a 4-on-4-off rota, allowing you to plan your personal life months in advance. The pattern includes two day shifts, two night shifts, then 4 days off. Available for both full-time and part-time positions.

Duties Include
  • Forensic sampling (including blood samples for road traffic offences).
  • Referrals and support for vulnerabilities, helping to break re-offending patterns.
  • Delivering substance misuse therapies.
  • Assessment & care of detainees and staff in custody.
  • Promoting good personal healthcare.
  • Working with Liaison and Diversion teams to identify mental health needs.

This role is based at Salfords Police Custody Suite. Applications are reviewed as they come and the position may close early once filled.
